FAQ

Please be advised.
If you have been involved in a non fault vehicle accident, you do not have to claim through your own insurance to recover any loss or compensation for injuries and related claims. Routing these claims through your own insurance company may result in the loss of your No Claims Bonus and Insurance Excess. Your accident history (held on the MIB database) may be affected and inevitably lead to higher premiums.

Who pays for the services you provide?

You are legally entitled to the service we provide. The cost of replacement vehicles and any repairs to your car are recovered from the insurance company of the driver who caused the accident.

What if the driver of the vehicle who caused the accident is not insured?

A claim will be processed on your behalf and submitted to the Motor Insurance Bureau (MIB) which provides compensation from a central fund in such circumstances.

What will happen if my car is a write off?

We will arrange for a replacement vehicle to be provided to you and we aim to keep you in the replacement vehicle until you receive and bank a cheque from the third party’s insurance company.

The statement above has two conditions:
1. You do not have access to a replacement vehicle yourself.
2. You are in a position to replace your vehicle from funds available to you.

How will I have to prove the accident wasn't my fault?

When you call, Client Advisers will discuss the circumstances of your accident with you and at that time they will assess whether there is an identifiable negligent third party and if so will accept your claim.

Will I need to pay a deposit for the replacement vehicle?

No, you will pay no deposit. We take your credit/ debit card details as a security check and these details can only be used with your authorisation for any additional charges incurred such as, parking tickets or congestion charges whilst using the replacement vehicle.

Can you help me even if the accident was my fault?

We cannot be of assistance to you if the accident was your fault.

Can you arrange for the repairs to be carried out to my vehicle?

We can arrange for repairs to be undertaken by a Manufacturer approved or Kite Mark approved body shop. All costs associated with the inspection and the repairs of your vehicle will be recovered from the insurer of driver who is at fault, or the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB) where the driver at fault proves to be uninsured.
